A shared passion and a common vision

Matt Buzzo at La Fourchette Brasserie in Totnes Chef Matt is a local man who travelled to London early in his career where he trained at Westminster College before working as chef at the Sloan Club before becoming Sous Chef at the famous Scotts of Mayfair. Matt met his partner Delphine when he was appointed as Head Chef at the Livebait in Notting Hill, one of the premier restaurants in the Chez Gerard Group. Before Moving back to Devon and opening La Fourchette was Head Chef at the well known Boulevard Brasserie in Covent Garden. Matt is passionate about good food served properly. A champion of local produce with an eye open to the rest of the world Matt has developed culinary knowledge from the best kitchens of London and brought it back to Devon.

Delphine, from Angers on the River Loire in France spent seven years in London after French Catering College training. Delphine has worked at L'Escargot in Soho and Le Gavroche in Mayfair. She subsequently worked at Bertorelli before she joined Chez Gerard group as Restaurant Manager at the Live Bait in Notting Hill. Before planning the move to the Waterside with Matt she was Manager of Livebait at Covent Garden, one of Chez Gerards flagship restaurants. Delphine brings a wealth of experience and a friendly welcome to all guests combined with the French passion for good food that complements Matts skill in the kitchen perfectly.
