We are 3 people who have been in the food, bar and drinks industry most of our lives. Totnes is our home and La Fourchette Brasserie is our chance to apply everything that's delighted us whilst living or working our way around Europe. We've carefully chosen likeminded, passionate and skilled characters to join our team, and then rolled all this into one!

 

Since 2006, La Fourchette has slowly evolved into the popular neighbourhood café bar restaurant it is today.... as endorsed by our 2010 F Word 'Best Local Restaurant' nomination, for the 2nd year running!

 

Born and raised in the Ardeche, head chef Philippe Metral brings to Totnes all the secrets of simple, delicious French cooking. Philippe and his talented team use their breadth of experience to prepare and cook wonderfully honest and tasty local food with French inspiration. To enhance your experience, all food is cooked before your very eyes in our open kitchen.

Passionate about great food, we constantly strive to use the best local and organic ingredients whilst supporting independent suppliers. Blissfully free from trendy antics, our main objective is to make these well chosen ingredients shine through.
