Back for the summer season, 2 for £10 on our unique 3 Cheese French Pizzas! No tokens, no loyalty card, no catches just dine before 6:30pm to take advantage of this great offer. Perfect for locals and visitors alike, especially those with young children where a family of 4 can comfortably dine for under £20.
From 6pm onwards our Head Chef James creates stunning dishes to order from our new A la Carte Menu alongside our ever popular Grillades. And don't forget to ask about our new Spécialité de la Maison which already has people coming back for more!

Summer is here and it's given us a headache - there's more fresh produce than we can shake a pan at. Our solution: bring back the chef's specials blackboard!
We now offer all the good stuff we've become famous for on a weekly changing a la carte menu (see menu boxes in the window) PLUS to stretch our chef's talents even further you will find the best of what's local and in season on the blackboard.

La Fourchette will be open on Mother's Day. Bring Mum (and the family) for a relaxing lunch on Mothering Sunday (April 3rd). We will be open from 11am and serving lunch from 12-3.00pm. Don't forget we offer a special 'Menu pour les Enfants' so you can treat the whole family.
9 March: La Fourchette goes wireless! Enjoy a drink, pastry or meal whilst working or relaxing with FREE wireless internet in our splendid historic grade 2 listed building.
So what's new in March? We're adding to the wine list with a fantastic new Argentinian Malbec. Perfect with any of our S Devon steaks, lamb or game. We're also adding to the bar with another 2 imported draft beers, Estrella Damm from Barcelona & Flying Dog from USA. At 4.6% Estrella is a perfect session beer and will pair up very nicely with all our food. We're beside ourselves with excitement as we introduce another gem of a beer to Totnes, the classic pale ale, 'Doggy Style' from Flying Dog brewery in Maryland, USA. Thus proving there is sanctuary for flavour lovers in Totnes. As the folk at Flying Dog say, 'Good people drink good beer'.... and wine...and eat good food..

Vive La Romance......David and his team have put the finishing touches to our Valentines Menu which is available to collect from the brasserie or download from our food page of the website. 6 Jan 2011: NEW MENU. From today our a la carte dinner menu will change daily instead of monthly. We loved our specials board so much we decided to base our entire menu on this concept. Head chef Dave Lewis and his team love getting creative and there's no better way than showing it all off on our new wall blackboard! This enables us to use the freshest daily produce, allows our chefs to show off their talents and offers you a different and extraordinary food experience every time.....it also saves trees! Come in and take a look.

7 Dec 2010: Vin Chaud?? Due to enormous demand we will be serving our famous mulled wine every Tuesday during the Totnes Christmas late night shopping. The recipe remains a secret though! Also open for dinner every Tuesday throughout December. Booking advisable.
6 Dec 2010: Draft Real Ale Now On!
Due to popular demand we have made space on the crowded bar to serve draft real ale (in addition to our 6 imported draft beers, cider and 16 speciality bottled beers)! From December 2010 we will be proudly serving fresh champion Skinners ale from Cornwall.
1 Dec 2010: New Addition - Please put your hands together and give a big welcome to David Lewis!! We're very excited to announce the addition of classically French trained chef Dave Lewis to our talented team. We guarantee you will notice a difference as his skills take our food to an even higher level.

New lunch and dinner menu launched on Friday 7th May.
Come and see for yourself what the fuss is about. As always our a la carte menu and pizza menu is avaiable at lunch and dinner time. We now have an additional lunch menu with light bites, sandwiches, baguettes and omelettes. All the classics incorporating fresh local seafood, meat and vegetarian dishes are available on the specials board.
Our drinks menu will also be re-vamped to include more than 20 unique beers (many on draught), 30 wines and draught cider. As always, some of our best beers and wines will be imported by La Fourchette directly from artisan breweries and vineyards across Europe.

2010 will be a very exciting year. We are taking some time out in January to complete essential renovations. This will involve building brand new toilets, moving the kitchen, enhancing the bar, plus painting and decorating. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience during this period but we will come back better than ever.

We will be open every Tuesday night in December for dinner and/or drinks. As usual, we will be serving 'the best Mulled wine in Totnes' on the night. We're perfectly located half way up the high street. We look forward to seeing you at what promises to be the biggest and best Totnes Christmas Festival so far!

We're proud to launch our new winter menu - we think it's our tastiest so far - come and try over lunch or dinner. It's available to view or download on the 'Food' page.
Our Christmas lunch and dinner set menu is now available to download on the 'Food' page of the website or to take away from the brasserie. Bookings for Christmas parties are now being taken. Chef Philippe is working hard to add the finishing touches to our winter menu. In the meantime, you can already try some of our tasty new creations as they make guest appearances on the 'specials board'.

**La Fourchette nominated as Gordon Ramsay's F Word 'Best Local Restaurant'**
The first we knew about this was when a researcher from Optomen Television called us to explain that we had received a number of votes from customers highlighting La Fourchette Brasserie as somewhere that 'serves delicious food, provides great customer service and has a great atmosphere'. Praise indeed - many thanks to everyone who nominated us for this. Apparently, we will hear in December if will be filmed for Gordon Ramsay's forthcoming food magazine show on Channel 4. Stay tuned to find out!

Exciting news: In our endless quest to bring you maximum flavour (with a French twist), Paul, Gilli, Philippe and the La Fourchette team have partnered with Sharpham Farm near Totnes. With it's 35 year history of rearing high quality organic cattle, beef farmers Will and Hannah now provide us with the finest organic South Devon X Aberdeen Angus beef. This means we are now proudly serving local, organic, slow reared and extra matured Totnes beef. See if you can taste the difference in our rib eye steaks, fillet steaks and homemade burgers!

Due to the success of our lunchtime Plat du Jour we have extended its availability into the evenings between 6-7pm. For the uninitiated this means you can now enjoy Chef Philippe's choice of daily special meal with a free glass of 175ml house wine in the early evening for 8.95.

La Fourchette makeover includes the installation of a new bar and a new license allowing us to sell alcoholic drinks to you at any time with or without food. Now you don't need to be hungry to pay us a visit, why not drop in to enjoy a drink from our new wine and beer list! We have taken great care to enhance La Fourchette whilst maintaining all it's character and charm. We are proud of our daytime cafe culture. Infact, our range of Illy coffee, teas, cakes and pastries has also been further improved.
